WBEC South is so excited to announce that we have scholarship funds available for WBEs who may be interested in attending the Tuck-WBENC Executive Program in October! You’ve probably heard some WBEs speak about Tuck, and how attending really helped them to zero in and focus on what they want for the future of their businesses. We can only emphasize that this is a powerful and intense program. If you’re interested in attending, we’re committed to helping you get there!
The 2014 Tuck-WBENC Executive Program, brought to you by IBM, will be held October 5 -10, 2014 at the IBM Dolce Palisades facility in Palisades, NY.
Here is an excerpt from the WBENC website:
Program Description for Building a High-Performing Business
The Tuck-WBENC Executive Exchange Program is an intensive, five-day executive development program for WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs). It is an intensive learning experience that focuses primarily on increasing the competitive advantage and robustness of the participant’s own business. Up to 50 WBE attendees will form a learning community that will continue to provide a source of support, expertise, opportunities, and strategic alliances long after graduation.
This general management program is designed to help WBEs that are beyond the startup phase to assess, improve and grow their businesses. To survive and prosper in today’s fast-moving, highly volatile business climate, WBEs must ensure they have all the essential components of a highly integrated business, such as:
- Clear and focused strategy
- Superior value
- Optimal core business processes
- Motivated and empowered staff
- Carefully managed relationships for long-term success
Who Should Attend
Applicants must be WBENC-Certified owners with three to five years of experience running a business and have $300,000+ in annual sales.
The cost of the program is $3,750 for WBENC-Certified WBEs.
How to Apply
Download the 2014 application. Please submit this application to WBEC South (not WBENC) no later than July 31st. If selected, we will cover the full tuition of $3,750, which includes room and board plus all program materials. We will submit your application to WBENC along with payment by the August 4th deadline.
All you need to worry about is transportation to and from New York!
Please note you must be there the entire time – kicking off on Sunday afternoon through Friday noon – no exceptions.
If you would like to speak to Blanca Robinson about the program, please her at the office 504-830-0149 or cell 985-856-5540. She will be happy to even put you in contact with WBEs who have attended prior Tuck programs so you can get their input and insight.
