Since its inception in 2009, Jamie Bradford Lopez has been a great example of how to successfully grow a business. “Po Folk’s Promos grew from the very beginning through client referrals and word-of-mouth due to the very personal nature of our efforts on our clients’ behalf. We’re thankful for those referrals and as a result, we now have clients in 23 states and 2 countries.” Being a thriving entrepreneur is what Jamie holds dear to her heart and she knows that women can do anything they put their mind to. “Women have contributed to the well-being of families and to the success of commerce since time began. Women are uniquely equipped to enter the business world and thrive by developing products & services for every business industry. Women are especially needed in management and ownership. We have talents that make the workplace comfortable and flexible, while encouraging growth in employees and those with whom we do business.”

Formula for Success
As one of our newest WBEs, Jamie values all that WBENC has to offer. “WBEC South supports and encourages women-owned businesses with current news about how we impact business industries, and provides meaningful opportunities to meet & interact with other visionary female leaders. We’ve been certified for less than a year and I’ve seen great return on our time and efforts utilizing the certification. While there is additional exposure and potential with large corporations who have supplier diversity programs in place, some of the most beneficial advantages are the relationships and collaborations we have with other WBEs.”

Inspirations and Insights
“Prioritize giving something back, helping someone up, and spreading good around. Some of my greatest successes and most fulfilling endeavors have sprung from volunteering, community involvement, and donating goods & services as a sponsor. The bottom line is not the bottom line. Contributing to the good of my community and to the development of other business women is what will last after the books are closed.”
