For over three decades, Abform has created top of line products to serve a variety of industries. Elizabeth Abdalla has been involved with this company for many years and has grown it tremendously. “I have been with Abform since it was a small business with only two employees. Over the past 30+ years I’ve helped grow those two employees to over 30. After my husband’s untimely death in 2012, I knew I wanted to take Abform to a higher level and certification was what I needed to do just that!”
Growing her business was hard work and new ventures were created to improve it. “A large portion of our business over the years has been tied to the oil & gas sector resulting in vulnerability to an ever fluctuating market. Although this has been a setback at times, Abform has looked at it as opportunity to re-evaluate our business model, diversify our client base, and reach out to international opportunities.”

Some of the connections that have been made are a direct tie from WBENC certification. “Being a WBE has afforded me the opportunity to meet, form relationships, and share comradery with women who have the same goals and drive – women who encourage me to think outside the box and make opportunities happen. Certification has provided many networking events, face-to-face meetings, and referrals that have allowed Abform to secure new business opportunities.”

Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and talk to everyone as you never know what opportunity you may be passing up.
