Oteka Technologies was founded on a legacy of entrepreneurship. From a young age, Alandas Dobbins, the company’s founder, was inspired by her father, who built and grew multiple successful businesses. His last venture, a telecom company called Southern Communications, was where she gained firsthand experience in the industry. After his sudden passing, she stepped away from the business, but a decade later, she felt a renewed sense of purpose. Remembering his words—that she was smart, strong, and capable—she decided to build Oteka Technologies, using her wealth of knowledge and determination to create something lasting. She strives to instill the same qualities in her own children, and they stand by her side in the company. Rasie Dobbins serves as Oteka’s Vice President, and Rabasa Dobbins serves as Vice President of Operations.

Specializing in the installation of cable, security cameras, access control, and fiber optics, the company operates in a traditionally male-dominated field. However, what truly sets them apart is their people-first philosophy. They invest in highly trained technicians and foster a workplace culture built on respect and support. This led to Oteka’s involvement in the Ford Blue Oval project, a major milestone for the company and a testament to the power of WBEC South’s network.
