Dr. Sarah Skidmore, founder of The Leadership Hospital®, is on a mission to turn workplace pain into powerful leadership transformation. With a doctorate in strategic leadership and a passion for people, she created a company dedicated to healing the often-overlooked fractures in organizational culture. From hybrid workforces to multi-location teams, The Leadership Hospital® offers innovative and tailored leadership solutions to help companies strengthen strategy, empower teams, and thrive long-term. Dr. Skidmore’s inspiration came from years of witnessing the ripple effects of poor leadership—low morale, disengaged teams, and organizational instability. “These experiences motivated me to pursue a doctorate in strategic leadership and launch my consulting firm,” she explains. “I founded The Leadership Hospital® to address these challenges head-on.” Today, her team of Leadership Doctors and Leadership Practitioners works with organizations across industries to build healthier leadership systems and cultivate thriving workplace cultures.

What makes The Leadership Hospital® stand out is its unique model and customized approach. “We’re not your typical consulting firm,” Dr. Skidmore says. “We deliver leadership development solutions that directly address the specific leadership skill gaps, employee challenges, or culture issues a client faces. It’s not just about training leaders—we help organizations  grow and strengthen.”

From securing contracts with fellow WBEs to participating in executive education programs and the national WBENC conference, Dr. Skidmore credits the certification with fueling both business growth and meaningful partnerships.

Relocating to Florida’s Panhandle didn’t slow her momentum—in fact, it opened new doors. “When I relocated the business, the WBEC South community welcomed us with open arms,” she says. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to participate in virtual sessions and in-person networking events. The sense of connection and access to resources have meaningfully supported our continued growth.”

Dr. Skidmore encourages other women business owners to believe in themselves and take full advantage of the WBENC ecosystem. “Tap into those opportunities, show up consistently, and use the support system around you to fuel your business growth,” she advises. Her own journey with WBEC South reminds her she’s not alone. “As an entrepreneur, the journey can feel isolating at times. But knowing there’s a strong, supportive network of fellow women business owners—and a dedicated WBEC South team—makes all the difference.” Dr. Sarah Skidmore Speaking

At WBEC South, we’re proud to shine a light on leaders like Dr. Sarah Skidmore, who are redefining what it means to lead with purpose, strength, and heart. The Leadership Hospital® is proof that healing organizations from the inside out isn’t just possible—it’s transformative.
