Preparing a traditional business plan can take months and be an overwhelming activity, but you can make the process much shorter and less stressful by using the Business Model Canvas! The Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a one-page document that has been successfully used by hundreds of start-up companies and businesses across the globe to understand the critical elements that lead to new business launch success.
It is designed to help you identify gaps in your business strategy before you spend time and money launching your business. Creating a BMC will help you test and validate the key parts of your business idea in a manageable format and help get you on track to start your business.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Tim Whelan is a SCORE certified mentor with 25 years of successful marketing and product development experience helping Fortune 100 and Fortune 1000 companies to grow their businesses. He has been involved in helping startup companies in Memphis for the past five years and is passionate about working with business owners to ignite business growth through strategic planning and innovation programs. He holds an MBA from Xavier University and lives in Germantown, TN with his wife, children, and two Corgis.
