Communities Unlimited will be providing a Small Business Financial Basics series to inform small businesses on staying on top of finances.

Session 1 (11/9/21): Understanding the Income Statement, by Akira Morishita, Sr. Management Consultant, Communities Unlimited

Want to understand the Income Statement (Profit & Loss Statement) and the story it tells about your business? Income Statement shows how profitable your company is. We will go over each element of Income Statement as well as the importance of Bookkeeping, and cover how you maintain a solid monitoring tool of your profit.

Session 2 (11/16/21): Understanding the Balance Sheet, by Marnell Love, Sr. Management Consultant, Communities Unlimited

Want to understand the Balance Sheet and the story it tells about your business? Balance Sheet, also called Statement of Financial Position, provides information on the health of your company. We will go over each element of Balance Sheet, and cover how it is used to monitor trends as well as performance indicator ratios.

Session 3 (12/14/21): Understanding Cash Flows, by Marnell Love, Sr. Management Consultant, Communities Unlimited

Want to understand how to read a Statement of Cash Flows and what it means for your firm? Cash Flow Statement summarizes the amount of cash entering and leaving your company. We will go over each element of Cash Flow Statement, and cover how it is used to evaluate the strength and weakness of your business’ cash management.
