Government Contracting Overview

The course strategically outlines what you need to know about government contracting, and how to be successful in today’s procurement marketplace.
What sorts of contracts are available? What are government acquisition regulations? How do you respond to a solicitation for bids? Does your business need to be certified? Does you business qualify for a “set aside” contract? How does the process work?
Since calendar year (CY) 2000, PTAC counselors have worked with more than 500 companies in Tennessee annually. Overall, since CY 2000, UT CIS PTAC counselors have assisted in more than 6,845 contract awards which have generated more than $5.8 billion in contract dollars, resulting in more than 114,400 jobs created or retained.
